All the new billboards are now installed!

This is video we put together a few years ago. It would make a great forward to all your friends and family that said “You’re moving WHERE?”
Not everyone was blessed to be a jack-of-all-trades. If you are in need of a plumber or an electrician during the time of an emergency, see your homeowner’s manual contact information pages for relief.
Fore! The golf course looks and plays great these days, even with the summer heat. Age and time is helping make SunRiver Golf Course stronger. Fairway Magazine said this about the course: “SunRiver offers a refreshing combination of challenging desert golf with generous fairways and true greens. With a player-friendly design, friendly atmosphere and competitive green fees, SunRiver has become a hit with locals and visitors alike. The SunRiver Golf Club is the focal point of a master-planned active adult residential community and the golf course reflects that right-at-home feel and ambiance.”
As many are aware, SunRiver has been involved in a unique program for new homeowners in an effort to support Intermountain Health Care’s mission to bring world-class health care to everyone served by the new Dixie Regional Medical Center. New SunRiver residents have the option to donate $1,000 to DRMC at their home closing and in return SunRiver discounts the home purchase price by $500. To date many residents have chosen to participate and over $235,000 has been donated moving close to SunRiver’s original commitment of $250,000 in donations to the hospital foundation. Kerry Hepworth, Chief Development Officer for the Intermountain Southwest Region of Intermountain Healthcare agrees, “I am grateful to SunRiver and SunRiver residents for this substantial gift and for the friendships that have been forged. The SunRiver gift influenced other doors in the community to open. I applaud SunRiver for their pioneering spirit in developing the premier master-planned active adult lifestyle community in our area. Through our partnership, many of our volunteers have found SunRiver and made it home and many SunRiver residents have found us and continue to offer their time, talent and resources to help further this great work. More energy and cost saving tips from our friends at Dixie Escalante Electric
1. Set the water heater at 140 degrees if you have an electric dishwasher or 120 degrees if you do not.
2. Insulate the pipes going to and out of the water heater tank. Add an insulated blanket around your water heater if it’s an older model.
3. Turn the water heater off when you’re gone longer than a weekend.
4. Wash full loads of clothes in the coolest water possible. Rinse clothes in cold water.
5. A low-flow shower head can reduce water use by 50-70 percent.
Have you been wondering what’s going on with all the dirt moving at our new Exit 2? For those of you interested in the future of the State Trust Land on the east side of I-15, take a look at the Master Plan here (this is a rather large file (26MB) so be patient). Please note that a Master Plan only designates a range of potential land uses. Except for the new visitor center (1-2 years out), no other projects have been determined.
Positive news keeps rolling in regarding the Housing Market. This is great news for both buyers and sellers.
“While all the small ups & downs of the market will continue with us for 12-18 months, the bottom has been reached on volume of sales, and the bottom on pricing has either been reached, or will be reached as we get into the Fall. Anybody considering purchasing a home in Washington County will get their best deal by purchasing in the next few months.”

New Home Sales “Really Good News”

Where did the for sale signs go at SunRiver? Selection of homes on the market peaked at just under 80 homes in SunRiver. This was still a very healthy market at less than 5.5% of the community; however it’s even healthier now at 3% with only 47 homes on the market. This 41% decline in homes for sale is not a surprise due in part to several factors. The first being improving economic conditions and the second being attractive interest rates. Many local economists have called bottom on the St. George market and recommend buying now. The sale of new homes continues to increase as most buyers still choose to build a new home with the colors, features and location of their choosing.
