The St. George Marathon is in its 33 year and is set to have more participates this year than in any previous years. Runner’s World Magazine placed the St. George Marathon in the 10 Most Scenic and Fastest Marathons and Top 20 Marathons in the USA. The race begins in Central, Utah, on October 3 at 6:45AM and finishes at Vernon Worthen Park, in the heart of St. George, with the fastest runners arriving around 9AM. The Marathon has become a tradition and a part of the St. George community, building friendships along each mile of the course. Volunteers are needed and welcomed to join us, St. George City, and all the athletes, as they set out on another run, come “enjoy the journey” during the St. George Marathon.

September 21st, 2009Fall is in the air and so is the 22nd Annual Huntsman World Senior Games October 5th-17th. SunRiver has the unique opportunity of once again being a Silver Sponsor for the Games. SunRiver has been part of the games for the past eleven years and has valued the relationship with them. This relationship is a win-win for WSG and SunRiver, bringing thousands of senior athletes to our beautiful lawns and Golf Club House. There will be over 9,000 athletes participating in 26 events during the Games. SunRiver will host numerous social events along with Square Dancing, Pickle Ball, and Golf Skills Competition. Kyle Case, Chief Executive Officer of the Games states, “We couldn’t hold the Games without the great support and participation of sponsors like SunRiver. Our relationship over the years has been appreciated and grown. They are an incredible support, from their Sponsorship to all the volunteers they help provide. Holding events at SunRiver is great.”
Whether you’re an athlete, a volunteer or a spectator, please plan on attending the Opening Ceremonies, 6:30pm, October 6th at the Hansen Stadium, admission is free, but you need to bring lawn chairs since bleacher seating is limited.
