Osmond Family is Featured on the Celebrity Concert Series

The famous Osmond family is featured on the Celebrity Concert Series Monday and Tuesday, January 30-31, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the Cox Performing Art Center (325 South 700 East, St George, Utah) and is sponsored by the Spectrum.

The Osmonds 2nd Generation are all sons of 70’s pop star, Alan Osmond. They have spent the last 25 years traveling the globe performing in over 14 different countries. They have performed to sold-out stadiums and arenas in the U.S., Europe and Asia and served for many years as youth chairmen for the Children’s Miracle Network, a charity founded by their grandmother, Olive Osmond.  During the 90’s the brothers signed recording deals with both Curb Records and Epic/Sony in Europe and had three songs in the top 40 in the U.K.  They’ve appeared on MTV, Good Morning America, Live with Regis and Kathy Lee, CBS This Morning, Entertainment Tonight, CNN and other major shows and networks. They were also voted Branson, Missouri’s Best Young Group of the Year, three years in a row, being inducted into Branson’s Hall of Fame.  The brothers also appeared for two years on the North American tour of the hit musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  They are known for their tight harmonies and family blend. All eight brothers are Eagle scouts.  Two of the brothers are pursuing solo careers. Nathan Osmond recently released his debut Country CD, Feels Like Heaven, which he recorded in Nashville, TN with the guys from Lonestar. David Osmond also just released his debut pop album, Reflected, and was featured on American Idol, season eight.

This concert is a highlight of Celebrity Concert Series this season  and in addition to the presentation of both Monday and Tuesday, they will also be guests at  a lovely candlelight dinner and concert on the Cox Auditorium stage Tuesday, January 31, prior to their concert that evening.  as a fund raising event.  The public is invited and all of the proceeds from this event will go to the arts and performing art scholarships at Dixie State College.  Individual reservations are $75.00 and can be made by calling 435.652.7994.

Tables will be set up on the Cox stage and a delectable dinner will be served to the guests.  Members of the Osmond concert will provide a private concert and discussion for the dinner guests.  The schedule is as follows:

4:30 p.m.         Lobby Reception in the Cox Performing Arts Center

5:00 p.m.         Dinner on the stage with a choice of entree

6:00 p.m.         Artists presentation

7:30 p.m.         Osmond, Second Generation concert

The Osmonds 2nd Generation have had three top 40 hits in the U.K. and have signed record deals with Epic/Sony in Europe as well as Curb Records.
