Time to Hit the Slopes!

With Utah’s highest base elevation, Brian Head Resort offers consistently excellent snow conditions and the driest snow in North America, with an average moisture content of just 4%. The two adjacent and recently connected mountains comprising Brian Head Resort are Brian Head Peak, which tops out at 11,307 feet, and Navajo Peak, with an elevation of 10,300 feet. Nestled in the two mountains, the Resort features 65 ski trails and 650 acres of ski terrain. Each of the two mountains is anchored by a full service base lodge facility.
The Resort’s terrain was expanded by nearly 35% in 2007 with the addition of two new chairlifts (Wildflower and Alpen Glow) that connected the Giant Steps and Navajo Mountains. Skiers and snowboarders of all abilities can now enjoy both mountains by skiing/riding instead of driving.
From breakfast to lunch, or even a late-afternoon snack, they’ve got you covered at both the Giant Steps Lodge and Navajo Lodge Learning Center.

For lunch, they have mouth-watering burgers and fries, hot dogs and chips, chicken fingers, and a salad bar. For those extra cold days, they serve-up their special recipe homemade chili and soups. They also offer the best deli sandwiches on the mountain at our Lift House Deli located in the Navajo Lodge Learning Center and look for their new deli at Giant Steps Lodge.

Located adjacent to the Navajo Lodge Learning Center, the Resort’s snow tubing park is the only lift-served tubing park in the area. Considered by many to be the “Best in the West,” the snow tubing park offers six lanes and a surface lift that whisks you to the top of the park. This is the perfect activity for all ages and abilities – everyone is an expert at snow tubing.

One of Brian Head Resort’s greatest attributes is its accessibility. It is Utah’s closest “drive-to” destination getaway for families from the Southwestern desert region including southern Utah, Las Vegas and Southern California. Brian Head Resort is located just off all-weather Interstate 15, on State Highway 143. Las Vegas is a quick three-hour drive, and St. George, Utah is just over an hour. This Alpine retreat is also an easy day’s drive from Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City. From California’s “Inland Empire,” it takes less time to drive to Brian Head than it takes to drive to Mammoth Mountain.
