Don’t Miss the Washington County Fair!

The final days of summer are upon us, and that means it’s time for the annual Washington County Fair! From August 9–12, 2017, the fair grounds in Hurricane will be home to the county fair for the 20th year in a row. For such a landmark year, this year’s theme for the fair will be “The Land of Awes” and will feature mainstays like the 4-H Horse Show, the Literary Arts Contest and the family-friendly Carnival each night.

Special events at this year’s fair include the Midget Wrestling Warriors Apocalypse Tour on Friday, August 11, the Great Bear Show – an educational show and history of the animals as they’re shown to the audience – at the fair’s main entrance and magic performances by The Amazing Arthur, Professional Showoff. The ever-popular Demolition Derby will be held Saturday, August 12 and special event tickets, which are sure to sell out, are required for attendance.

The Washington County Fair is an annual highlight of the summer in St. George, so be sure to head out to the fair grounds to revel in our community and celebrate all the fun of living in Southern Utah.
