NIELSEN’S FROZEN CUSTARD
Location: 445 St. George Boulevard #102
A staple on the Boulevard since the 1980s, Nielsen’s offers frozen custard, a delicious alternative to ice cream–but with less calories and fat! (The secret to frozen custard’s smooth texture is that it’s made with eggs along with the normal cream and sugar.) Drop by for one of Nielsen’s famous “concrete” shakes, but be sure to bring cash. This St. George institution is so old-fashioned, they don’t even have a credit card machine!
